Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge

Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge is a comfortable and stylish eco-lodge with eight (08) tranquil bandas and stunning views overlooking the primeval forest. Each banda has an en-suite eco-bathroom with solar-powered showers (hot and cold water) and flushing toilets.

On occasions gorillas, chimpanzees and birds can often be heard screeching near the river below whilst you sit back and relax on the open veranda after a hard days gorilla tracking through the Impenetrable Forest.

Rooms & Amenities at Bwindi Lodge

There are eight stone & timber glass-fronted solar powered bandas with en-suite bathrooms with solar shower and thatched roof, each named after a different Bwindi Gorilla. The bathrooms have been recently refurbished with a flushing toilet, double vanity, showers with hot and cold running water and biodegradable hand and body wash.

Bedrooms have walk-in mosquito nets as well as a private balcony with beautiful views over the forest.

The bar serves refreshing drinks overlooking the dense forest, essential after a strenuous day of hiking and there is a tranquil massage where guests can enjoy a complimentary massage. As well as this there is a simple curio shop and a terrace overlooking the forest.

Wi-Fi and internet access is available in the main lodge building.

Dining

Uncomplicated international cuisine with a Ugandan flair is served; with tropical fruits, cooked breakfasts, hearty and wholesome lunches, warming soups and very generous dinners.

  • While Kids are welcome to stay and enjoy the serenity of the Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge, be informed that they can not be allowed to track gorillas unless they are 15 years and above.
  • For those that are of age, a gorilla permit ought to have been pre-booked with your local Gorilla tour operator.
